Privacy Policy

Last updated November 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Maple Dailies ("Maple Dailies", "the app", "we" or "us"), the free MapleStory dailies tracker at www.mapledailies.com, collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and deletes information about you, including data we receive from Google when you sign in with Google. Maple Dailies is run by a single independent developer. We have no ads or analytics, and we never sell your data.

1. Information we collect

Information stored only on your device

Without an account, the characters, tasks, notes and settings you enter are saved in your browser's local storage. We do not receive them unless you sign in, send feedback or export a backup file yourself.

Google user data (when you sign in with Google)

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store only your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. These come from the basic "openid", "email" and "profile" scopes, which are the only Google permissions the app requests. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar or any other Google data.

Discord data (when you sign in with Discord)

If you choose to sign in with Discord, we receive and store your Discord account ID, username, email address and avatar.

Synced app data

When you are signed in, we store a copy of your characters, tasks, notes and settings in your account so they appear on each device you sign in on.

Feedback

If you use the feedback button, we collect your message, the page you were on, the app version, your browser's user-agent string and any contact details you choose to give. Bug reports also include a copy of your characters, games and checklists (but never your notes) unless you untick that option. If you are signed in, the report is linked to your account.

Technical data

Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard web server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for a short period.

2. How we use information

We use the information above only to provide and improve the app's features:

  • to sign you in and keep you signed in;
  • to save your data in your account and sync it between your devices;
  • to show your name and profile picture in the account menu;
  • to recognise you as the same person if you sign in with both Google and Discord using the same email address;
  • to read, reproduce and fix the problems you report through feedback;
  • to answer requests you send us, such as deleting your account.

We do not use your information for advertising, for profiling, to make decisions about credit or lending, or to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

3. How we use Google user data

Google user data (your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture) is used only to sign you in, to keep your synced data under the right account, to link feedback you send to your account and to show your name and picture in the account menu. It is stored in our account database at Supabase. It is not sold, not used for advertising, not used to train AI or machine-learning models, and not shared with or transferred to anyone except Supabase, which runs sign-in and storage for us, or where the law requires it.

Maple Dailies' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers that run the app for us, only as far as each needs:

  • Supabase stores accounts, synced data and feedback, and runs sign-in.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Google and Discord handle sign-in if you choose them, under their own privacy policies. Feedback reports may also be posted to a private Discord channel that only the developer can read.
  • Nexon: when you add a MapleStory character, and about once a day after that, the character's name and region (and nothing about you) are sent to Nexon's public ranking service to fetch its level, class and portrait.
  • Ko-fi handles donations if you choose to make one. We never see your payment details.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. The app sets no advertising or tracking cookies; your sign-in session is kept in your browser's local storage.

5. How we protect your data

  • All data sent between your browser and the app, Supabase, Google and Discord is encrypted in transit with HTTPS.
  • Accounts, synced data and feedback are stored at Supabase, encrypted at rest.
  • Database access rules let each signed-in account read and change only its own synced data. Feedback can be sent but cannot be read back through the app.
  • Only the developer has administrative access to the database.

6. Data retention and deletion

  • Account information, including Google user data, and synced data are kept for as long as your account exists, and deleted when you ask us to delete your account.
  • Earlier copies of your synced data, kept so a mistaken overwrite can be undone, are cleared out once they are 30 days old (the next time your data is saved), and all of them are deleted with your account.
  • Feedback is kept only as long as it is useful for fixing problems.
  • Data saved only on your device is deleted when you clear your browser's site data.

To delete your account and all data linked to it, or to get a copy of what we store, email support@mapledailies.com from the address you sign in with, or send a request through the feedback button while signed in. We complete requests within 30 days, usually within a few days. You can also revoke the app's access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions; this stops future sign-ins, and you can ask us to delete the data already stored.

7. Your choices

  • Use the app without an account; your data then stays on your device.
  • Sign out at any time from the account menu.
  • Export a backup of your data from the settings menu whenever you like.
  • Untick the option to attach your roster when you send a bug report.

8. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed in, contact us and we will delete the account.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how Google user data, or any other information about you, is used or shared, we will show a notice in the app before the change takes effect.

10. Contact us

For any question about this policy or your data, email support@mapledailies.com.
